I met Autumn while working as a manager at a retail store in Downtown Tacoma. We worked together for a while & I loved her passion for her business. After a few years she hired me to capture some needed images of her handmade items. Here’s what she says about her business:
”It all started with an idea: sell pretty handmade things & give back to the world. My name is Autumn, I'm the owner and creator of Two Birds. In 2015 I opened my Etsy shop with one product: friendship bracelets. I sold them around school campus in exchange for a few dollars to score a candy bar at the student store. I made a promise to always donate a portion of profits to a charity, non-profit, or disaster relief.
With a Bachelor's in Fashion Design and 10+ years customer service, I've grown my handmade business to a full time job. I love to craft beautiful gemstone jewelry, aromatherapy items, and much more. Currently I wholesale my famous Eye Pillows to spas, yoga studios, and small retail shops across the globe - including Italy, Germany, Canada, and the UK!”
Autumn has made it her mission to contribute to charity & make detailed & quality items in her company. When talking about the photoshoot we decided she needed a few types of images. To get her wholesale catalog going we needed some product shots, styled flat lays & detail shots of a few items. We also did some editorial style posing with models along with business owner portraits.
We were able to accomplish all of this in a 2 hour window and still get every product we needed to. When planning a shoot of this kind it’s helpful to think of all the needs for the images. Do you need it for socials or website banners? Those are two different shots to take care of. We went over all the products, where the images need to go & made a detailed shot list. The shoot went great and the models were fantastic partners in the final result.
If you need to get some images for your new product line or need a refresh for social images let’s chat!
