Some journeys start a long time ago, this is one of them. I met Crystalyn when I worked at a retail store that sold her bags. She came in to bring her new products in and I got to chat with her for a while. I gave her a business card and let her know the kind of work I enjoyed doing with photography. A long while after that, I’d venture to say at least 2 years later she had kept up with following me online and reached out. She had a need to get a ton of different images of both the bags and of her. We arranged a long shoot day where we would capture both her at the studio and her products with models. It was so neat to see her stock pile of vintage fabrics and all of her tools around the studio that she uses. We shot our editorial photos at her friends warehouse in Seattle. She can be reached at this Instagram . We also had the pleasure of borrowing jewelry from Redefind Vintage. Our two wonderful models were Anjie & Raven. When we went over the look for the shoot she wanted to pull from a heavy 60’s and 70’s style but still allow the bags to really shine. If you own a small business and want to do a commercial shoot please don’t hesitate to contact me. I take the time to really understand your audience, goals and overall aesthetic before helping to craft a successful shoot. Thanks so much! You can buy her beautiful bags here!
