Brand photo shoot for Seattle Maker-DELZA. Formerly Knuckle Kiss Jewelry

Angela is the genius behind the brand DELZA-Formerly Knuckle Kiss Jewelry. The brand is described as “Sculptural and geometric-inspired pieces pared down to essential lines and shapes. The moods of modern life are reflected in our range of styles--from the big and bold to the delicate and dainty.

We're forever inspired by the tenderness and toughness within each of us.”

When you look at the one of a kind pieces that Angela creates you really see her natural talent at color theory & balance. I love the landscapes she makes in such a compact setting. Her metal work is also gentle while making a huge impact. There are so many every day pieces she creates that I’m sure at a hit at Pike Place. Her brand vends there every week along with being sold at Stockists all the way to Oregon.

I’ve found Angela’s work intially on Instagram and reached out last April. We were able to plan a shoot together in the fall and I loved working with her, her sister and the models. We decided on doing a mix of jewelry on models and some new items set up in a product scene on fabric. I was really happy to be a part of this project and am so excited to see this new part of her brands Re-Design. Go check out her updated website and say hi if you visit Pike Place!

We shot for 4 hours at the awesome space Olive Seattle. This space is run by a couple that has a few rental spaces around Seattle. It was easy to get into our rental, found lots of parking options nearby. There are stairs for one floor but then you can take the service elevator. There is a bathroom on the same floor and a changing tent in the space. I really appreciated the big table for laying out the products & the ability to shoot a couple different vignettes in the space. We didn’t find a bluetooth speaker so maybe bring your own if you shoot in here.

This brand photo shoot was really such a refreshing way to end the year and it really makes me crave more projects like this.

If you know of someone who needs to capture new work and get marketing images I’d love to chat with them. I can help make the shoot easy and fun for the whole crew. Enjoy these images!
